A Skylit Drive

Photobucket

Well I have been listening to A Skylit Drive's new album "Wires (And the Concept of Breathing)" . These guys are something I have been looking for lately. These guys are a mix of bands like Coheed and Cambria and Hatebreed almost :) Haha, thats quite a combo but I kinda been missing the Hatebreed and Static-X days.

I use to listen tons of metal and hardcore bands until I lightened up a lot. But I love when I find a band that can basically take the best parts of metal/hardcore and modern 'Emo'/rock that I tend to listen to today, and fuse them into a great sound. A Skylit Drive does that in a great way.

Their new album 'Wires (And the Concept of Breathing)' is rad. You have to take a listen. Click Here to download it for free and then when you fall in love with it you can delete it and then buy it on itunes. If you do not delete it your computer will explode.

They just released the video for "All It Takes for Your Dreams to Come True".

You should also feel lucky that I know how to embed the HD youtube version :)

Watch the video all the way to the end, its pretty tight. Towards the end of the song and video, the guitar and bass players tune down their guitars as the songs slows to an end. Its pretty cool.

I don't miss Static-X, but I miss driving around in your car with D-Bag and Don Carlos.

Hahaha, I don't miss that stage in my life but I know what your saying. I still bump them when I'm in the mood :)
