the even better ol' days...

i found this video that was take on the same tour in which i saw AFi for the first time. This video was take 11 days before i first saw AFi live, at Club Rio in Tempe on December 5th, 2000 . AFI opened for their good friends Rancid. A extra bonus is that in this video they play "The Last Kiss" which was rare for them to play live.

Then i found a video of a show that i was at. I have looked for 4 years for video footage from the show at the Cajun House in Scottsdale. It was in early 2003 a month and a half before their major label debut sing the sorrow came out. I waited for tickets for 5 hours to get tickets and 7 hours in line outside the Cajun House so i could get in the front row. I was on the front row to the left/centerwhich you can see me at the end, its hard to tell because of the video quality but cool none the less. The coolest part of it is, is that the song is 'Strenght Through Wounding', which use to be the epic introduction/first song to all their old shows before sing the sorrow came out. They havent played it since this tour. The energy is amazing. One last note, this was the first tour after they were gone writing and recording for 2 years, so this was the first time in 2 1/2 that anyone had seen them live.
