The First and foremost band that i am going to feature is one that if anyone knows me, you will understand.
AFI (a fire inside)
AFI is: Davey Havok - vocals
Jade Puget - Guitar
Hunter Burgan - Bass
Adam Carson - Drums
Forming in 1991 in the small town of Ukiah, California at the local high school buddies Adam Carson and Davey Havok started a hardcore punk band without knowing how to play their instruments! Its all history from there! 15 years later 7 full length albums and numerous E.P.'s later are blowing the music world away!
After 12 years on Indie record labels and gaining a hardcore fan base from word of mouth promotion and non stop touring. AFI gained the respect and love from so many fans from here all the way to Japan. Me being one a big one of them! Then in 2003 signing on to Dreamworks released their major label debeut Sing The Sorrow which went platnum! Then after a 2 years of straight touring took a year to record and on 6-6-06 released DecemberUnderground which is rocking the world as i type!
I've often wondered why i love them so much and mostly its because i can relate to the lyrics. As i share AFI with you you'll notice that lots of the lyrics are a little dark, some may say depressing, but those feeling are normal and everyone has them at one point or another. Though i have over come that stage in my life there is still a big space in my heart for what helped me thorugh a rough time of my life. Its like having a councelor that helped you thorugh a trial in your life, after you have overcome that trial, do you forget about that person that helped you? Nope you'll always remember them!!

I say make a little room in your blog for the crocheter in you. I would like to see what you are making and trading tips would be fun. I have tons o' yarn so we should get together!!! I'm excited already! We can listen to AFI, talk about our spouses and bask in the joy of needlework.

afi is my favorite band.i think davey havok is amazing.i love everything about this guy.i also can really relate to afi's lyrics.the whole thing about being depressed.i have been their and sometimes i still feel that way and it is so great to read and listen to songs that remind me that im not alone.just because im only 14 people think that i cannot truly understand what it feels like to go through a major state of depression or to be alone or to have all your friends turn on you or to have a really good friendship with someone and then they just stop talking to you.and i also know what it's like to have your heart broken. but what always helps me is to listen to a song i can relate to at that moment and a lot of times i turn to afi.has anyone heard the spoken poem at the end of Sing The Sorrow?Its amazing!!!!sorry if i went on too long i tend to get carried away.but as taking back sunday says"im an addict fof dramatics,i confuse the 2 for love.''~KRISTINE~
afi is amasing but have u heard of madina lake or the used or the almost??if not then u should really check them out all 3 of these bands are almost as good as afi~kristine~
